TEMITOPE'S BOOK LAUNCH AND PUBLIC LECTURE (5 days to go ) 4th May 2013
150 Homerton High Road, London E9 6JA
For the past two years an average of 4 Nigerians get killed on a daily basis in an act of terrorism within the borders of Nigeria. With no hope in sight that the complex terrorism challenges would be solved soon because of the many underlying factors ranging from religious, tribal and political interest.
The visible defective security structure, lack of appropriate counter terrorism skill-set and increasing growth of extremism in Nigeria is a national security threat.
- Is Nigerian Security Service fit for purpose?
- Do we have Nigerian terrorist cells operating outside the borders of Nigeria?
- Are Nigeria terrorist cells like MEND, Boko Haram, ANSARU etc receiving funds and other supports from Nigerian Diaspora overseas?
- Does it sound right for President Goodluck Jonathan to reveal that there are Boko Haram supporters in the seat of government?
Also, in the past ten years an average of 2 million Nigerians applied for entry clearance visa to visit the United Kingdom and approximately 750,000 entered the UK successfully! Now the question is:
- How many of them returned back?
- Are the undocumented migrants a threat to UK National Security?
- Is radicalisation happening unnoticed in Nigerian Mosques across the UK?
On Saturday 4th May 2013, I will be launching two books:
1. Nigeria Family Emergency Plan and
2. Counter Terrorism Guidance For
Nigerian Religious Leaders
Some of the invited guest speakers include:
- His Excellency Dr Dalhatu Tafida, Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom
